I’m Closing The Door On The Modern LeadHer Way For Good
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if the thing you’ve been chasing isn’t another strategy, another plan, or another version of you that looks “more successful” from the outside? I’m Emma Clayton, and I’m opening a new chapter of Real Talk by drawing a clear line in the sand and letting go of The Modern LeadHer Way with love. It’s a short, honest reintroduction to where we’re heading next and why releasing an old identity can be the most powerful leadership move you make.
I share what’s been crumbling behind the scenes, why I resisted the pivot for so long, and what it means to stop searching outside of yourself for the missing piece. We talk about the real experience of being a multi-passionate, ambitious woman who has achieved a lot and still feels like she’s not quite “there” yet and why that doesn’t make you broken, it makes you human. The goal is simple: build a definition of success that feels as good as it looks by cultivating self-trust, joy, and inner peace from within, even when life is chaotic and circumstances sit outside your control.
Going forward, expect more business-focused conversations alongside wellness, nervous system support, and the truth about the human behind the business owner. You’ll hear solo episodes and guests, delivered less on a rigid schedule and more spontaneously when I’ve genuinely got something to say.
If this lands for you, follow or subscribe so you don’t miss the next drop, share it with a friend who needs real talk, and leave a rating and review so more women can find these conversations.

A Different Kind Of Success
SPEAKER_00What if the answer to success that feels as good as it looks was never out there in the next strategy? If you've tried everything and still feel like something's missing, this is for you. I'm Emma Clayton and this is Real Talk where we stop searching outside of our sound and start building from within. Hey hey, and welcome to the very first official episode of Real Talk with me, Emma Clayton. All I want to do here is just draw a line in the sand. I want to, with love, let the modern leaderway go. Let it fly into the atmosphere. And know that it did its job. Know that it allowed me to play within the confines of what it meant for me. It allowed me to play with that, it allowed me to be more expressive under that banner or that brand. And it is really with love that I'm letting it go because I didn't want to let it go for a long, long time. And if you're one of my closest circles, you will know that I've had this conversation about whether it's time to pivot away from the modern leaderway or just let it stick. And I've really wanted it to stick. However, uh there's been a bit of a crumbling recently, a lot of things that I've had to make decisions on, had to make calls on, that you know didn't feel comfortable but were certainly decisions that I knew I had to make, and I felt them deeply, and I'd perhaps ignored them for way too long. So this is one of them, and I'm gonna get on to others, I'm sure, throughout the ongoing episodes, but I really just wanted to give a nod to the modern leaderway, which has served me well, I feel, and hopefully has been something that you can come back to and know that you belong within for the last what three years that I've been running this podcast. So it is with love that I opened the door to the birdcage and let the bird fly off into the wilderness and create its next beautiful chapter of its life and bring it back to what it's always been, which is real talk. And I do think I bring an open and honest conversation, and like tell me if you feel otherwise, but I really do feel like what I do is lift the lid on what goes on in my head, what I experience in my body as I move through this life with all the twists and the the turns and the full circle moments, and I do that because I don't think there's enough of this honest conversation about what it means to be a woman who's multi-passionate, who's multifaceted, who's ambitious, and has a a version of success that they were striving for, but actually still feels they're not there yet. And actually, moving forward, that version of success gets to look very differently, and that's okay because that's evolution, that's expansion, that's growth, and I just want to keep it real. So I may overshare at times and give you way too much detail. My intention is always to keep it real and to let you know that if you resonate with any of it, if you relate to some of what I say, even if it's not all of it, you ain't alone. Uh, you're not crazy, girl. And this is what it means to be that brilliant multifaceted woman and be human, right? Because it's not all sunshine and rainbows and unicorns, as we know. So I am all about keeping it real. This is real talk. I am going to be bringing a conversation around what it takes to build that real definition of success from within. Because that's where it starts. If you want to love yourself more, if you wanna have more joy in your life, if you want to have more peace, it all comes from within. It's all available to us today in the circumstances that we have today. It's like, how are we cultivating that from within? Even when shit's hitting the fan, even when situations and circumstances aren't as we would hope them to be, even when you can't control things, things out of your control are, you know, keeping you up at night. How can we still build that solidity, build that security, build that peace, build that joy from within? That's what this podcast is about. So you'll be hearing the usual kind of topics, more focused around business, I would say, than in in the past where it's probably been more career focused. But there will be an element of that as well because that was 20 years of my life, and I'm only 47, so um you know, a big chunk of that was school, and the last eight or so has been business, and that's what I'm passionate about right now. But also, there is like a whole human behind the business owner, and there is a beautiful brain that doesn't ever switch off, and there is this wonderful body that carries us through life that we may not have always respected and given the love it deserved and the tender care that it deserved, but we now know what we know, right? And it is with that that I will bring all of those kind of wellness and work topics to this podcast in a very open and honest, real and raw way. So, whether that's through solo episodes or my guests, and I have got some great guests planned, um, then that's what you're gonna get. So, I'm gonna leave that here, very short reintroduction episode to the podcast and the way forward. Um if you're if you're new here, welcome. I'm so glad you found me. Um, if you've been here all along, God, I love you. Um, and if there's someone that you feel like they might enjoy the sort of conversations that we're gonna be having here, then please do refer um them to the link. And as always, if you're not already subscribed, do hit that subscribe and follow button because it just means that whenever there is a new episode, it's gonna come up as a notification and you're not gonna miss a thing. And that is one of the changes that I have made with this podcast going forward, is that I'm gonna drop them less regularly, more spontaneously when I have something to say. Um, but I have a lot to say at the moment, so yeah, make sure you're following. And if you feel called to, please do leave me a rating and review. It does help get my podcast out there in the algorithm to more people who need to be part of this conversation. So, with that, let me leave it there, and um, I wish you a fabulous day wherever you are, and I will be back soon. So, take care of the city.
